OUR NEW SENSORY ROOM OPENS
On Friday 24th June, We in Our Lady of Mercy were delighted to officially open our new Sensory Room. Our 4th and 5th Classes were on hand to assist Kieran Creed (parishioner) who represented a bridge club who have fundraised in memory of Barney Tighe (a former parishioner and great advocate of children with special needs). We really appreciate this very kind gesture and look forward to daily use of this wonderful facility.

OUR WONDERFUL ATHLETES
in SANTRY
Huge congratulations to all of the twenty four girls who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol athletics events in Santry recently. Field events which included hurdles, high jump and long distance running were held on May 23rd and track events including sprints and relays were held on May 31st. Despite being entered in a category with schools much larger than ourselves, the girls did amazingly well; and were delighted to take away a total of eight medals over the two days. Special congratulations to Lucy for receiving a bronze medal for the high jump in the under 14 age section as well as Mia who received a bronze medal for her sprint in the under 10 age section. The under 10 relay team came 4th in the final and also received bronze medals for their achievement. Well done to Anna, Mia, Ruby, Aoife, Keira and Sarah!
The girls did a lot of training in advance of attending the days in Santry. As well as attending Irishtown Stadium every Tuesday after school, they also practised during lunch times and outside of school in their own time too. They showed great dedication and commitment and we are very proud of them..
Their two coaches - Bríd Mc Govern and Suzanne Loughnane - deserve great praise for their dedication to the training of the athletes. Their attendance at sessions on Tuesdays in Ringsend, in all weathers, is very much appreciated: Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

GOLF 2015/2016
Congratulations to the 16 girls who participated in this year's Golf Programme. A team of four girls was then selected to represent the school in the 12th annual Castle Golf Competition in Caste Golf Club in Rathfarnham., on Monday 30th May. They were ably led by Stephen Gillmor and should be very proud of the great games they played on the day: Well done girls! A Fun-Scramble is planned for all 16 golfers before the end of this month, so great fun to look forward to.
A big thank you to Stephen, and of course to Fiona Henry, for all their hard work, dedication and encouragement.

FIRST COMMUNION, 21st May 2016
The girls had a really special celebration of their First Holy Communion on Saturday 21st May. They were a credit to both themselves and to their parents; and we are very grateful to Ms. Cumiskey for the wonderful preparation for the ceremony. A really memorable event!
TURAS go ANAGAIRE
Rang 5, 23ú to 27ú Bealtaine 2016
From 23rd to 27th May 2016, our 5th Class pupils stayed for 4 nights in the Gaeltacht area of Anagaire in North-West Donegal. They settled in well with all the local people, learnt lots of Gaeilge and won many prizes both for sports and in the Talent Show. Bhaineamar go léir - muinteoirí agus cailíní - an taitneamh as an cúrsa gaeilge ann. Ba cheart do na tuismitheoiri bheith an-bhróduil as na cailíní go léir!
Lots of progress on our
